SUMMARY:    This is a full-time hourly position that is responsible for effectively communicating the mission, values, and goals of Central Aroostook Association with a variety of audiences. The Communication Specialist works closely with the Executive Director and Leadership Team to help with the execution of projects that align with the established strategic framework to ensure high quality service delivery, and compliance with State and Federal regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

Digital Communication – working to keep information updated on the Association’s website and social media communications.

Photography and Videography – Taking photos for Association programs to be used in social media and Association publications.

Organizational Communications – Develop materials such as brochures, banners, posters, newsletters, promotional advertisements, etc.

Reporting – Collect information and data related to organization operations and report to relevant stakeholders.

Culture – Promote the organizational culture and core values of the Association at both internal and external levels.

Other – Represent the organization at community events as assigned. Assist the Leadership Team with projects that support the objectives of Central Aroostook Association’s Strategic Framework.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications or related field preferred

At least two years of related experience working in marketing/communication is preferred. 

Must be able to organize, prioritize, work and meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently

Experience with design software, social media platforms, WordPress, and Mailchimp preferred.

Valid State of Maine driver’s license.
